The Brewspaper is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who interacts with us — whether you're a reader entering a competition, a café partner, or a local business advertising with us.

We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it through one of our online forms. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include your name, email address, phone number, business name, and suburb.

Specifically:

  • Readers who enter competitions provide their name, email address, phone number, and competition answer
  • Café partners who register interest in stocking The Brewspaper provide their name, café name, suburb, phone number, and email address
  • Advertisers who enquire about advertising opportunities provide their name, business name, business type, phone number, and email address

We do not collect any sensitive information, financial details, or information from children.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide solely for the purpose for which it was given:

  • Competition entries are used only to contact winners. Your details will not be added to any mailing list or used for any other purpose
  • Café enquiries are used to follow up on your expression of interest in stocking The Brewspaper
  • Advertiser enquiries are used to respond to your request for pricing and availability

We will never use your information to send unsolicited marketing communications without your explicit consent.

How we store your information

Your form submissions are stored securely via Google Forms and Google Sheets, which are subject to Google's own privacy and security practices. We do not store your personal information on any other third-party platforms.

Sharing your information

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with any third party for commercial purposes. Your details will never be passed on to advertisers or any other organisation.

The only circumstance in which we may disclose your information is if required to do so by law.

The Brewspaper website is hosted on Blogger, which may collect anonymised usage data such as page views and general location data for analytics purposes. This data is not personally identifiable and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Welcome to The Brewspaper!

Hello and welcome to the very first issue of The Brewspaper; your local café newsletter for the central Logan area. New issues will be published on Monday every week, so keep an eye out in your local coffee shop !
